Christina and Brian grew up in the Chicago area but spent countless summers making memories in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. When it came time to plan their wedding, there was no better place to gather family and friends than The Abbey Resort, one of the most iconic Lake Geneva wedding venues.
Booking Ian with Anchored North Films was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Even though we reached out without a ton of notice, he made it a priority to get to know Brian and me as a couple. He genuinely wanted to understand what mattered most to us on our wedding day, right down to the smaller details, like how important it was for us to honor our Irish heritage.
That care showed up in everything he did. In our preview video, he wove my sister’s officiant speech together with highlights from throughout the day, and the result completely captured the spirit of it. Watching it back, it felt like reliving the day all over again.
Ian has an incredibly creative eye and is genuinely talented at what he does. We asked him to feed off of us naturally as a couple and off the energy of the day rather than directing us into staged moments, and that’s exactly what he delivered. If you want a filmmaker who tells your story with artistry and heart, I can’t recommend him enough.

Their wedding day began with a light drizzle rolling across the shoreline, creating a calm and intimate atmosphere. By evening, the clouds gave way to sunshine, providing the perfect backdrop for portraits along the lake and a celebration that reflected their love for life on the water.
The team at Graceful Events thoughtfully brought their vision to life with details that celebrated the area’s rich boating heritage. Guests were welcomed by a custom seating chart displayed against a beautiful nautical backdrop, while vintage-inspired boat keys served as escort cards. From the lakeside setting to the carefully curated décor, every detail felt authentically connected to Lake Geneva.
