Cheyenne and Peter Gehrke Celebrate at Geneva National
A Warm & Elegant Summer Celebration at Geneva National
From the moment I arrived at the small community and rolling hills of Geneva National , I could feel it, this was going to be an elevated, meaningful day. The floral team brought blooms in from Chicago, the cocktail hour was held in a beautiful semi-permanent tent on the course, and the planner curated every detail to flow seamlessly.
Geneva National is the kind of Wisconsin wedding venue that naturally encourages upscale design. Its lakeside views, open spaces, and soft summer light created a perfect setting for a candid, natural wedding video filled with emotion and movement.
Candid Moments, Meaningful Audio & A Laid-Back Bridal Party
Going into the day, I knew I wanted to focus heavily on candid storytelling and audio-driven moments, especially during getting ready, first looks, and quiet interactions throughout the day.
Peter and Cheyenne’s personalities made this effortless. They were gentle, grounded, and carried themselves with a sense of calm that translated beautifully on camera. They didn’t need theatrics; the genuine way they interacted with each other was enough.
Even the bridal party who, let’s be honest, usually wants to sprint through photos, felt at ease. My goal was to make those awkward group moments fun and relaxed, and it showed. Laughter came naturally, and I leaned into a more interactive approach to bring out the personality of the group.
