Gabriella and Maverick Celebrate at The 1868 Farmhouse in Iowa
A Color-Drenched Day at an Award-Winning Iowa Venue
What struck me most on this day were the colors. The flowers, décor, and small details were some of the brightest and richest I worked with all season. Inside the reception space, you’d never guess you were in the middle of a cornfield, the room felt lush, curated, and full of life.

“Hiring a videographer was something maverick and I went back and forth on for a while, but we couldn’t be happier that we decided to go for it and book Ian.
Maverick and I are by no means “naturals” behind the camera, but I was so surprised how effortless and easy it was to have Ian blend into our day. I loved how he was able to seamlessly coordinate with our photographer and other vendors to get the shots he needed. We weren’t constantly doing different poses, but instead just genuinely having a good time and being ourselves. While he gave some direction when needed, everything felt very natural and fun. At times I forgot Ian was even there and he added zero stress to the day.
Besides his amazing work behind the camera, what sets Ian a part is his genuine personality and love for his job. From the moment Ian arrived in Iowa he was eager to get started and capture everything. From our rehearsal dinner m, to the reception and every moment in between, Ian was excited to be a part of our day and made it even more special.
It’s impossible to go back and redo the day all over again, but with Ian’s amazing videos I truly feel like I’ll be able to relive the happiness and joy of the day over and over again! For anyone that needs it, take this as your sign to book Ian as your videographer, you won’t regret it!”

Creating moments and memories by always staying present while filming
Gabriella and Maverick are the kind of couple who shine quietly. A bit reserved at first, but full of warmth once they settle in. I knew Gabriella already, which helped bring a sense of familiarity and ease into the day.
Once the camera rolled, they loosened up beautifully, thanks to a mix of comfort, connection, and simply being present with each other.
Their love wasn’t loud.
It wasn’t dramatic.
It was gentle, kind, and full of moments that made the day feel deeply real.
While filming, I’m constantly paying attention to the environment, watching for the moments that are about to unfold before anyone else notices them. My goal is never to be the center of attention, but to match the energy of the bridal party and blend into the spaces where the real memories are made.
The warmth and genuine Midwest kindness of this group made it effortless. I felt like I naturally became part of the bridal party, which allowed me to capture everything with authenticity, ease, and intention.
